OSD Community Partnership for Special Education Actions (CPSEA)
Community Partnership for Special Education Action (CPSEA) – A group of parents and educators working together to improve Special Education and related services to the students of Olympia School District. The Team collaborates as a partnership, advising the district and making recommendations regarding the yearly budget, district educational programs and all other issues/topics concerning students within Olympia School District.
Our meeting dates are as follows:
- Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Madison Elementary School from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Jefferson Middle School from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Madison Elementary School from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Access To Connections: A Special Education Resource Fair
The Community Partnership for Special Eduication Action of the Olympia School District invites you to attend this year's Special Education Resources Fair on Saturday March 15, 2008.
Where?
At Olympia High School from 10-1 in the commons area. The easiest Parking will be in the lot behind the school on Carylon Ave.
What is a resource fair?
An event that provides you an opportunity to find out what services, activities and supports are available in both the local and extended community from both public and private organizations. It will also offer short presentations on a range of topics of interest such as procedural safeguards, assistive technology, and development.
When?
Saturday March 15th from 10am to 1pm
Why should I attend?
You, as parent of teacher of a child with special needs, will be exposed to a range of information that you will likely find new and helpful. This will positively impact your child or student(s).
What will I do with my children?
They are welcome to attend with you. There will be opportunities to play, do some face painting and engage with art materials.
What if my child is too old, too young, not disabled enough, or too disabled?
This is not possible. There will be something for everyone. Everyone is welcome!
