Early Childhood Program
The Olympia School District’s Early Childhood Program serves students from birth to age 5 who have developmental disabilities. Infants and toddlers are served in home-based programs and 3-5 year olds attend inclusive preschools in the District’s elementary schools. Eligible students may also receive speech/language, motor and/or vision therapy services.
Typically developing preschoolers from low income families may attend the programs through participation with Sound to Harbor Head Start/ECEAP. Others may be eligible for Title One preschool services or may participate through a school-business partnership with Sparkleberry’s Preschool. Preschool programs are located at Garfield, Hansen, Madison, McKenny, McLane and Roosevelt Elementary schools. The infant-toddler program is located at L.P. Brown.
