Students with Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD)
The Olympia School District currently provides specialized services to students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities at three of our schools: Centennial Elementary School, McKenny Elementary School and Reeves Middle School.
In the spring of 2008, the Olympia School District contracted with the Puget Sound Educational Service District to evaluate the program and services for our students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities. The independent program evaluation included input from parents, staff and other stakeholders and focused on curriculum, program structure and consistency across grade levels. The independent evaluators at the Puget Sound Educational Service District made several recommendations related to continuity across programs, increasing time for inclusion and ways to build academic and social skills for students with Emotional Behavioral Disabilities.
