Register for Summer School 2022

Registration is underway for Summer School. Below you will find registration details for both Elementary and Middle School. High School registration is now closed.

High School Summer School Program (Grades 9-12)

Registration for high school summer school is now closed. Families who have registered for courses but who still need to pay may access the Payment Portal here. Once there, you will sign in with your *existing* Skyward Family Access Username and Password (do NOT create a new account). Once inside the portal you will select "Shop for items at ALL schools" and then "Website." Please choose "Secondary SS - Initial credit or grade replacement" if you are taking courses that require tuition payments.

When you have completed making your payment, send your receipt # to the Summer School Principal, Audrey Perry, at [email protected], or email with questions. Note that only "initial credit" and "grade replacement" courses require tuition--credit recovery is free of charge. Thank you!

Middle School Summer School Program (Grades 6-8)

Current middle school students may participate in STEM-based enrichment activities utilizing the National Inventors Hall of Fame curriculum. Students will build their communication skills as they have fun building E-Racer Bots, Fly Gliders, RC Origami Bots, and design extreme weather clothing in the Wear It Out module. Space is limited!

If interested, please click here: Middle School Registration Form (current 6th-8th graders)

July 5 – July 28, 2022 (Registration deadline: Wednesday, June 29, 2022, or until program is full)
Monday – Thursday from 9 AM – 12 PM

COST: This program is FREE OF CHARGE for OSD students. Space is limited, so apply early to ensure your spot!

LOCATION: This program is 100% in-person at ORLA (2400 15th Ave SE, Olympia)

For middle school students interested in high school courses:
Additionally, current 8th graders interested in retaking certain courses (e.g. Algebra, Geometry, Washington State History) may register for these courses using the High School registration form. Washington State History may only be taken by a student who has already taken the course and did not pass. This course will satisfy the graduation requirement for Washington State History, but does not bear credit. Some initial credit Elective courses are also available to incoming 9th grade students, but costs apply ($50-$150, based on need). These courses utilize the Edgenuity online curriculum (with in-person testing at ORLA), and will NOT be continued into the regular school year—all initial courses for high school credit must be completed by August 11, 2022. The deadline to register for High School Summer School is June 29, 2022.

If you have questions about which courses would benefit your student, please contact their school counselor.

All other questions may be directed to Secondary Summer School Principal Audrey Perry at [email protected]
