Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID)

AVID helps students build the skills and confidence needed for success in school, college, careers, and life. Through a focus on organization, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and goal setting, students learn to take ownership of their learning and prepare for future opportunities.

AVID strategies are used in classrooms across Olympia School District neighborhood schools to support student achievement, strengthen learning habits, and help students develop a college- and career-ready mindset.
