Transition Academy

Olympia School District's Transition Services program supports students receiving special education services as they prepare for life after high school. Working in partnership with students, families, schools, and community agencies, the program helps students develop the skills, experiences, and plans needed for success in employment, education, training, independent living, and community participation.

Transition planning is individualized and based on each student's strengths, interests, preferences, and goals. Through career exploration, skill development, community experiences, and connections to adult service agencies, students are supported in creating a meaningful pathway to their future.
