Instructional Technology

The Instructional Technology Department works with staff to facilitate the effective use of technology in OSD classrooms. We provide professional development, coaching, and support for instructional staff, guided by the District mission and vision.

The Olympia School District believes that effective use of technology in the classroom prepares students to thrive in a constantly evolving technological landscape. The intentional integration of technology has the power to transform teaching and learning.

G-Suite for Education is a set of free productivity tools for classroom collaboration. The core services are Gmail (for secondary students), Calendar, Classroom, Contacts, Drive, Docs, Forms, Groups, Sheets, Sites, Slides, and Keep. Schools can use G Suite core services in compliance with COPPA and FERPA. G Suite core services contain no advertising and do not use information in those services for advertising purposes.
