Levy passing in early election returns

Over 67% of voters have approved the Olympia School District’s Technology, Safety and Facility Improvement Replacement Levy in the February 10, 2026, Special Election, according to unofficial election results released shortly after 8 p.m. on election night. ​ The first set of election returns released by the Thurston County Auditor’s Office Elections Division shows the measure received 8,458 yes votes (67.21%) compared to 4,126 no votes (32.79%). A levy requires 50 percent-plus-one yes vote for approval.

2026 OSD Legislative Priorities

The Olympia School District Board of Directors has adopted its legislative priorities for the 2026 session, guided by the district’s commitment to creating learning opportunities that result in success for all students. ​ Through an intentional focus on student outcomes, the Board evaluates proposed legislation with an emphasis on student well-being, equity and future readiness. ​ The district is proud of the schools and opportunities we provide for our students. Today’s reality, however, includes declining enrollment, rising costs and the end of federal relief funding. In this environment, the most helpful step the Legislature can take is to protect core funding and give school districts greater flexibility to adapt, stay stable and keep students at the center of every decision.
