In-person new voter registration ends February 4
There is still time to register to vote for the February 12, 2019 Special Election.
Thurston County residents have until Monday, February 4, 2019 to register to vote if not currently registered in Washington state. This registration must be done in person, as the deadlines have passed to register online or by mail.
Register in person at the Thurston County Elections Division located at the Thurston County Courthouse, 2000 Lakeridge Dr. S.W, Bldg. 1, Room 118 in Olympia. The Elections Division Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except on the first Wednesday of the month when the office opens at 9 a.m. On Election Day, the office has extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The office may be reached at (360) 786-5408.
There are no Olympia School District candidates or measures on this Special Election ballot; however, we notify our families annually about election dates and encourage people to vote. The Auditor’s Office mailed election ballots to registered voters on January 23, 2019. To be counted, ballots must be postmarked or dropped in postage-free ballot drop boxes by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, February 12.
