Governor Jay Inslee directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on Saturday, January 21, 2023. This is in memory of Clallam County Fire District 3 Captain Charles "Chad" Cate. Captain Cate died in the line of duty on Thursday, January 12, 2023.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on Saturday, January 21, 2023, or first thing Monday morning, January 23rd.
A memorial service will take place on January 21st, at Sequim High School at 12:30 p.m.
