The Olympia School District is seeking persons interested in helping write a Voters’ Pamphlet statement supporting or opposing the OSD Educational Programs and Operations Replacement Levy measure that will appear on the February 11, 2020 Special Election ballot.
Election regulations require that the district solicit citizens within its district boundary who want to represent the “For” and “Against” committees in the official election voters’ pamphlet. Each committee shall consist of not more than three members; however, a committee may seek the advice of other persons. Each committee is responsible for submitting a statement of 250 words or less to the Thurston County Elections Division by December 20, 2019.
If interested in being considered by the district for appointment to either committee, please email your name, mailing address, phone number and email address to Susan Gifford, executive director of communications and community relations, at [email protected] no later than 8 p.m. on Friday, December 6. Please indicate whether you want to participate in the “For” or “Against” committee. School district administration, in cooperation with officers of the Board of Directors, will officially name each committee assuming volunteers step forward by December 12, 2019.
