Panorama Survey

Commitment to the Whole ChildOSD Teaching & Learning Logo

Olympia School District (OSD) families are valued partners in working to support student success each day. Our collective commitment to the Whole Child is outlined in Student Outcomes as part our community-developed District Improvement Plan, which prioritizes social-emotional (SEL) learning. As part of our Academic and Student Well-Being Recovery Plan, OSD learns from students and families through the Panorama well-being screener. The survey allows informed updates to further customize supports district-wide at schools and in classrooms.

What is the Panorama Survey?

Panorama is a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) measurement tool with research-backed assessments. These assessments help elevate our students, our families, our staff, and our community members’ voices to ensure the work we do is meaningful to the people we serve.

Who takes the Panorama Survey and why?

Each school year, we provide a climate survey during the fall and spring semesters to gauge student, staff, and family well-being. By asking all of our students, families, and staff participate in the surveys, we are able to collect responses that provide invaluable insight into our combined experience. This in turn allows for improvement and adaptation by our district to address needs with direct connections to our community-developed Student Outcomes. The insights we learn through the Panorama survey helps us better refine future steps to support the Whole Child and Whole Educator.
