If you have a passion for volunteering but due to COVID safety precautions have not been able to do so, the role of a substitute paraeducator may be just the opportunity for you. We have immediate substitute openings for all paraeducator positions!

 

A paraeducator supports certificated teachers by performing some of the following duties:

 

  • Help with make-up work, classroom assignments and tests
  • Assist students one-on-one or in small groups with lessons
  • Read stories, listen to students read, provide writing assistance, reinforce lessons, help with computer learning programs and more
  • Help students reach academic goals and grade-level standards
  • Communicate with teachers and families
  • Monitor playground, cafeteria and crosswalks

 

What paraeducators do is going to vary depending on the school, the grade level and what the students need on any given day. Currently we have the following substitute paraeducator openings:

 

  • General Education (PreK-12)
  • Special Education (PreK-12)
